Description.
Thamnasterioid colony with corallites arranged in concentric rows. The colony surface is plane, the corallite centres may be slightly depressed.
Septa
are more often connected between corallites of neighboured rows than with corallites of the same row. No wall.
Dimorphastrea
is similar to
Astraeofungia
and juvenile colonies of
Astraeofungia
and
Dimorphastrea
are difficult to distinguish.
