Dimorphastrea grandiflora d’Orbigny, 1850 . Description. Thamnasterioid colony with corallites arranged in concentric rows. The colony surface is plane, the corallite centres may be slightly depressed. Septa are more often connected between corallites of neighboured rows than with corallites of the same row. No wall. Dimorphastrea is similar to Astraeofungia and juvenile colonies of Astraeofungia and Dimorphastrea are difficult to distinguish.
