Diagnosis.
Anterior margin of pronotum not explanate; male head very conspicuous; frons with very strong sexual dimorphism, male mandibles prominent; antennomere IV much smaller than V; hind pronotal angles obtuse.
Distribution.
This subgenus is endemic to Argentina.
