Spiropagurus
Stimpson, 1858
Remarks.
The species in the genus
Spiropagurus
is easily recognised by the presence of squamiform ridges or tubercles bearing marginal setae on the chelipeds and ambulatory legs, the presence of long, usually coiled, terminally blunt sexual tube on the coxa of left P5 of male, and the characteristic posterior lobes of the telson being acutely triangular. Seven species are recognised (
Han et al., 2016
), but only one species,
Spiropagurus spiriger
(De Haan, 1849)
, has been recorded from
Singapore
.
