These species are all wingless ant-mimics, and mostly differ in the color of the basal antennal segments. The type species, C. albosignatus (Reuter) , was described from Algeria , but is widespread in the Mediterranean area ( ThripsWiki 2019 ). One individual of this species has been recorded from Iran ( Minaei & Alichi 2002 ).
