Description. Male.

) Body small-sized and pubescent. Head as wide as width of anterior margin of pronotum; frontal rostrum rather obvious and about 1.7 times as wide as scapus; eyes large and protruding forwards; 3rd-5th joints of maxillary palpi distinctly elongate, 5th joint straight at apex. Pronotum transverse, strongly widened posteriorly, about 1.6 times as long as width of posterior margin, anterior and posterior margins straight. Tegmina extending slightly over apex of abdomen, present with one oblique vein, mirror slightly elongate, about 1.3 times as long as wide; wings absent. Fore tibia with a large and oblong external tympanum, about 2.0 times as long as wide; internal tympanum absent.
Hind
tibia with two internal apical spurs longer outer ones.
Supra anal plate narrowed posteriorly, posterior margin narrow and round; dorsal area with a transverse impression in centre. Subgenital plate rather wide, slightly narrowed posteriorly, posterior margin straight with a small protuberance in middle. Genitalia (

): lateral lobe of epiphallus as long as medial lobe, with several teeth at basal part of inner margin, not narrowed apically in dorsal view, abruptly narrowed apcailly in lateral view, serrated at apical part of upper margin; endophallus apodeme long.
Female. (

) Pronotum slightly widened posteriorly. Tegmen rather convex, not extending to apex of abdomen, present with 5 regular veins on dorsal field; lateral field with 4 oblique subcostal veins. Ovipositor short, slightly shorter than half of hind femur.
Coloration.
Body yellow. Dorsal area of head with 4 darker longitudinal stripes, and face with several small dark spots; eyes dark. Dorsal area of pronotum with 3 narrow longitudinal light yellow stripes. Apex of hind femur with a small dark spot on inner and outer sides respectively.

. Male: body 5.7–5.8, pronotum 0.9–1.0, tegmen 3.9–4.0, hind femur 4.5–4.6; female: body 5.5, pronotum 0.9, tegmen 2.8, hind femur 4.7, ovipositor, 2.2.

Etymology.
This new specific name is derived from Latin
brevis
(short) +
paramerus
(paramere), a reference to lateral lobe of epiphallus rather short.
