2011 in
Kittlitz,
28 km
WNW of Cottbus, in a permanent field of 65 ha with
Medicago sativa

Otiorhynchus ligustici
, a species that is present in huge numbers at this site. This date was apparently too late for collecting

General morphology.
Body length:
6.70 mm
(♀), width at the level of mesocoxae:
3.70 mm
(♀), head width:
1.25 mm
(♀). Body rather slender, straight, dark grayish. Cuticle smooth. Rostrum short, almost 1.1 as long as wide, surpassing procoxae in repose. Antennae rather short. Pronotum almost 1.3 as wide as long. Ab. I–IV almost of equal length, slightly smaller than Ab. V–VIII; Ab. IX reduced, distinctly smaller than previous ones. Pseudocerci elongate, narrow, slightly curved inward. Five pairs of functional spiracles placed laterally on Ab. I–V.
