Comment: Although Hassan (1950) does not report any material of this species from Iraq , we decided to include it in the checklist as he briefly hints the presence of this species in this country: “…it is commonly known in Egypt by the name of ‘Abu-shabat’, and in Syria , Iraq , Transjordania , and Hedjaz by the name of ‘Shabath’.”
