Euschistus spurculus
Stål, 1862
Distribution:
United States
: AZ. (
Mexico
,
Guatemala
)
Comments:
The occurrence of this species in
Arizona
is based upon a single specimen (in the University of
Kansas
Snow collection) from
Cochise Co.
first reported on by
Snow (1906)
and then later discussed by
Barber (1910)
(this record was repeated by
Van Duzee 1917
and
Torre-Bueno 1939b
).
Barber (1910)
indicated that although this specimen fit Stål’s original description of this species, it was lighter in color than other specimens he had examined. The occurrence of this species in the
U.S.
needs further confirmation.
