Distribution. – India , Sri Lanka , Southern China , Vietnam , Thailand , Malaysia [ Sarawak ], Indonesia [ Kalimantan and Java ] ( Ochs, 1927a & 1929 ; Mazzoldi, in litt.), Singapore (Balke et al., 1999). Ecology . – This is the common Orectochilus found in both forest and open habitats, especially in ponds and edges of reservoirs.
