Remarks.
As in the previous species,
Manzonia crassa
is very common in sublittoral bottoms from the British Islands to
Morocco
(not present on the Macaronesian islands) and throughout the Mediterranean (
Gofas & Oliver, 2011
). Three eroded shells (
Fig.
21g
) have been found in two of the samples likely swept by the currents away from the coast.
