Remarks.
This species is similar to
H. maricola
(
Fahey & Gosliner 2001
)
from
Western
Australia
; it differs externally by the presence of much larger spots between the ridges and linned as opposed to spotted gills.
Debelius and Kuiter (2007, pg. 235)
illustrate a photograph of a
Halgerda
from
western
Australia
which is externally more similar to this species than to the description of
H. maricola
, nevertheless without further examination of such a specimen is not possible to confirm its identity.
