Small to large-sized moths with variable forewing pattern, characterized by the combination of the following features: 1) Forewing base bears an orange patch extending from costa to the base of cell 1A+2A. 2) Forewing veins M 2 and M 3 stalked. 3) Forewing bears only one transverse band, sometimes vestigial or absent. 4) In male genitalia, the posterior tegumenal projection is rod-like and smooth on the surface, without process extending anteriorly. 5) The uncus is straight or gently curved distally downwards in lateral view. 6) The juxta is U-shaped, the juxta lobes are relatively short (ca. 0.5 × posterior tegumenal projection length, except for geoffi species-group). 7) In female genitalia the ostial plate/lamella postvaginalis is not discernible. Distribution. Kashmir, India , Nepal , Bhutan , northern Myanmar , provinces in southwestern, central and southern mainland China , Taiwan Island and northern Vietnam .
