Ecology: —Common; terrestrial in humid forests, often among rocks along streams, in seasonally flooded forests, and in secondary vegetation; 150–1300 m . Notes: —The terminal pinna is often distinctly larger than the lateral ones. The single collection seen from PandoJimenez 1995 (UC)—is sterile, and so a bit problematic, but otherwise agrres with several others having rather wide sterile pinnae
