General color dark brown ( Pictet 1841 ); length of forewing 9.9–11.2 mm in males and 12.5–14.1 in females ( Froehlich 1990 ); male tergum 10 triangular, apex elliptical; male paraproct relatively broad throughout its length, apex rounded ( Zwick 1972 ); apex of male subgenital plate semicircular, epiproct with irregular denticles ( Zwick 1972 ); nymphs with dorsal spines on abdominal terga 1–9 ( Froehlich 1990 ).
