( Figs 49 , 68 ) Description. Holotype . Female. Body length 2.1 mm , fore wing length 2.3 mm . Head. Transverse in dorsal view, 2.0× as wide as long, nearly as wide as mesoscutum ( Fig. 49e ). Temple shiny with shallow punctures, weakly constricted behind eyes from dorsal view. Face ( Fig. 49c ) transverse, 0.7× as high as wide, shiny with shallow, small punctures, inner margins of eyes nearly parallel-sided. Ocelli very small, posterior tangent to anterior ocellus indistinctly transecting posterior pair of ocelli, distance between fore and a hind ocellus as long as diameter of an hind ocellus, POL:OD:OOL = 3.5:1.3:3.8. Antenna weakly longer than body length, penultimate antennomere 1.4× longer than wide. Mesosoma. Length:width:height = 32.5:23.0:24.5. Disc of mesonotum ( Fig. 49h ) shiny, with sharp, dense punctures. Scutellar sulcus straight, broad with dense carinae inbetween. Scutellum highly shiny, with sparse small punctures. Propodeum ( Fig. 49i ) shiny, with less well-defined lozenge-shaped areolation which open at at anterior end, lateral carinae of areola along by rugosities, three posterior fields highly shiny and polished, anterio-lateral parts shiny with shallow punctures. Mesopleuron highly polished, anterior part with sparse punctures. FIGURE 49. Dolichogenidea parallodorsum Liu & Chen , sp. nov. , female, holotype. a. habitus, dorsal view; b. ovipositor; c. head, frontal view; d. hind wing; e. head, dorsal view; f. metasoma, dorsal view; g. fore wing; h. mesosoma, dorsal view; i. propodeum, dorsal view. Scale line = 0.5 mm. Legs. Hind coxa shiny, with shallow punctures. Spines on outer side of hind tibia long, sparse. Spurs of hind tibia nearly equal in length, half length of hind basitarsus. Basitarsus of hind leg a little shorter than tarsomeres 2–4 (12.0:14.0). Wings. Pterostigma 3.1× as long as its widest part ( Fig. 49g ). Vein 1-R1 1.1× longer than pterostigma, 7.7× as long as its distance from apex of marginal cell. Vein r arising from middle of pterostigma, perpendicular to the latter, and 0.7× as long as width of it, r nearly as long as 2-SR, angled at meeting, 2-M half length of 2-SR and weakly longer than 1-SR and shorter than 2-SR+M, m-cu distinctly longer than r. First discal cell of fore wing more than 1.2× wider than high. Second discal cell of hind wing 2.0× wider than high. Vein cu-a strongly curved ( Fig. 49d ). Metasoma. As long as mesosoma. T1 ( Fig. 49f ) with arched sides, 1.4× longer than hind width, basal 1/3 indistinctly concave, rugulose, turned-over part quadrate, punctate-rugose, weaker towards apex. T2 weakly rugulose, with parallel, short carinae anteriorly, 3.3× wider than long in middle, nearly straight apically. T3 1.3× longer than T2. Tergites posterior to T2 polished, shiny, and sparsely pubescent. Hypopygium distinctly shorter than apex of metasoma. Ovipositor sheath 0.9× as long as hind femur, rather thin and parallel-sided. Ovipositor thin, with weakly differentiated apical attenuation. Colour. Black, tergites posterior to T2 reddish brown ( Fig. 49a, f ). Tegula yellowish brown. Palpi and spurs whitish. Antenna and ovipositor sheath brown. Labrum reddish brown and mandible more yellowish. Fore leg, basal third of mid and hind tibia and mid tarsus whitish yellow, other parts infuscate to brown. Wing membrane hyaline, weakly brownish, vein 1-R1, C+SC+R, border of pterostigma, r, 2-SR and 2-M light yellowish brown, pterostigma whitish, and other alar veins colourless. Variation. Body length 2.1–2.2 mm , fore wing length 2.3–2.5 mm . Male. Unknown. Host. Unknown. Material examined ( ZJUH ). Holotype : , Shenzhoushumuyuan , Fujian , 1989.X, Wu Zhishan, No. 20009721 . Oriental [ China : Fujian , Guangdong , Zhejiang ]. Etymology. The specific name “ parallodorsum ” derived from the Latin “parallelos” and “dorsum”, referring to T2 with parallel short carinae anteriorly. Remarks. This species is similar to D. brevicarinata Chen & Song , but differs in the following: pterostigma whitish with dark border (the latter yellowish brown entirely); posterior tangent to anterior ocellus indistinctly transecting posterior pair of ocelli (the latter hardly touching); and ovipositor thin, with weakly differentiated apical attenuation (the latter thick, with distinctly attenuation).
