Curtonotum platyphallum species-group Species included: 3 (Afrotropical). Synapomorphy: Basiphallus with extensive angulate ventrally expanded and concave process (42). Tsacas (1977) included C . platyphallum Tsacas (based on the unique damaged holotype ) in his cuthbertsoni species-group. Curtonotum platyphallum and the two newly-described species, C . moffatt sp. n. and C . marriott sp. n. , form a distinct clade, and as attested by the above-mentioned synapomorphy, are here regarded as being sufficiently distinct to warrant inclusion in a species-group of their own.
