Mont Koghis, New Caledonia . Material examined. Four females on slides and many in alcohol, New Caledonia : Rivière Bleue, alt. 170 m , Malaise trap, 18.vii‒1.viii.1986 , J. Chazeau leg. (# ρ7(9)ε5); 4 females on slides and 22 in alcohol, New Caledonia : Rivière Bleue, alt. 150 m , Malaise trap, 13‒20.viii.1987 , L. Bonnet de Larbogne and S. Tillier leg. (# PFDHS (9)ε5, PFDHS (10)ε5). Three specimens on slides and 8 in alcohol in NJAU and others in MNHN . Remarks. Ps. shibatai is unique in its pale body, which is constant in all populations examined without exhibiting any intermediate colour. It cannot be separated from other “colour pattern species” except by its constant colour and few tergal macrochaetae. A more comparison with Ps. griseocoerulea , particularly those pale forms, is discussed above.
