Body size medium and dorso-ventrally flattened. Head small and wider than long. Vertex conspicuously separated from rostrum. Clypeo-frontal sulcus straight. Median ocellus depressed, and lateral ocelli carinate. Eyes more broad than long, slightly convex anteriorly. Antennal scape shield-like, large and wide, wider than rostrum. Pronotum narrowed at anterior margin; both fore and hind margins of disc almost straight; portion between disc and lateral lobes angulate. Mirror wider than long and the apical field of forewings elongate.
Hind
wings short, surface pubescent. Fore tibiae swollen, inner tympanum slit-like, outer tympanum larger and rectangular. Entire hind tibiae armed with spines; apical portion of armed with five paired dorsal spurs and six ventral apical spurs. Inner margin of claw armed with small teeth. Male supra-anal plate more or less bifurcated. Male genitalia: epiphallus armed with small upper acute hooks, lower hooks pubescent (including a tuft of long setae) in the middle and bearings a pair of larger lateral lobes.
