A common eastern African species, with a general distribution in
Tanzania
,
Malawi
and
Mozambique
. Found at four stations inland. Can easily be separated from juveniles of
Kempioconcha
by its non-ribbed apex. Differs from other
Subulinidae
in the area by the pronounced axial sculpture on the teleoconch and by the relatively large body whorl.
