DISTRIBUTION .— This species extends over a vast area ranging from Guinea to Cameroon , including Equatorial Guinea , where it has been recorded from Monte Alén ( De la Riva 1994 ). There are no records from Bioko ( Map 15A ). COMMENTS .— We provide an additional record of the species in Río Muni . Currently, the populations of Equatorial Guinea are ascribed to the subspecies A. f. brevipalmatus ( Amiet 2012 ) . Descriptions of the advertisement calls from Monte Alén were provided by Bosch et al. (2000) (as A. brevipalmatus [Ahl, 1931]). SPECIMENS EXAMINED .— Fifteen specimens .
