The Moluccan
C. luctuosus
and
C. tricinctus
show white pubescence, while the female
syntype
of
C. luctuosus
does not show ringed antennomere 5. Both characters make these taxa more closely related to
C. mimospilotus
; thus, a closer examination of the Moluccan populations is necessary to revaluate the taxonomy of these species.
