The V-shaped glabrous area on the vertex, the structure of the male genitalia, and its preference for seeds of Acacia ally this bruchid to species of Mimosestes . Our field observation showed that instead of producing a mass of eggs, A. oblongoguttatus oviposits individual eggs on pods as do many other bruchids. Host plants. OLD RECORDS: Acacia cornigera (L.)
