Whitfield Hall, 4200 ft , 10.x.1988 , T.A. Wheeler, swept at roadside ( 19 ♂ ; 16 ♀: LEM). Host plants. This species has been reared from multiple species of Poaceae . Comments . Although Becker (1920) listed only male specimens, the specimen examined is a female. Cerodontha ( C. ) dorsalis is easily distinguished from other Cerodontha ( Cerodontha ) by the absence of acrostichal setulae and the presence of only one notopleural seta. It is widespread in the Nearctic and Neotropical regions including Central America , the Caribbean ( Dominica , Puerto Rico , Jamaica ), Peru , Ecuador , Colombia , and Brazil ( Sasakawa 1992c , Boucher 2002 ).
