Distribution.
Sub-Cosmopolitan species, mainly distributed in the northwestern part of
Morocco
(L’Mohdi 2016). This is a new record of the species for the
Oriental Region
and the Moulouya River basin. During the sampling period,
M. vittigera
was found downstream of Oued Za and in the wetlands surrounding Nador Lagoon (
Fig. 2
).
