Diagnosis.
Head with lateral cephalic lobes only moderately produced, head only moderately recessed at insertion of antenna 2. Αntenna 1 generally longer than antenna 2, primary flagellum usually longer than peduncle, accessory flagellum present, variable. Labrum ventral margin rounded or weakly excavate. Labium with mandibular projection of outer plate acute or rounded. Mandibular palp 3-articulate, article 3 the longest or at least equal in length to article 2, and narrowest distally. Maxilla l inner plate small, occasionally elongate with reduction of setae to 0 or 1. Maxilla 2 inner plate posterior margin setiferous. Maxilliped inner plate large; coxa 4 not excavate posteriorly. Gnathopod l in male larger than gnathopod 2, carpochelate. Pereopod 3 and pereopod 4 glandular. Uropod 3 rami shorter than or subequal with peduncle.
Telson
entire, short, dorsoventrally thickened. Coxal gills saclike, on pereon segments 2–6; oostegites large, laminar, smallest on pereon segment 6.
