Yasir, RMNH’95”. Paratype ( 1 ♂ , RMNH): same label data as holotype . Diagnosis. Head slightly transverse in anterior view, with one discontinuous crest between anterior ocellus and posterior ones; clypeal margin rounded ( Fig. 20 ); each funicular segment with one row of sensilla; clava with only last two segments yellowish ( Fig. 2 ); distal tooth of mandible blunt ( Fig. 20 ). Mesosoma dorsally arched; fore coxa mainly dark, mid and hind coxae pale yellow, the latter with a medium dark spot basally; fore wing hyaline ( Fig. 2 ). Metasoma dorsally brown except small pale basal depression. Male antenna with one verticil of long setae on each funicular segment, F1 not shorter than F2 ( Fig. 16 ); male metasoma dorsally with large pale yellow spot occupying most of its length ( Fig. 13 ). Description. Holotype , ♀, body length: 2.2 mm. Colour ( Fig. 2 ): head black, with slight olive green metallic reflections; eyes reddish, ocelli whitish; scape reddish-yellow in distal half, pale yellow proximally; pedicel reddish-yellow, dorsally darker; flagellum brown except last two claval segments pale yellow; mandible reddishyellow, teeth reddish-brown. Mesosoma as head; wings hyaline; tegula and venation brown; fore coxa mainly dark, mid and hind coxae pale yellow, the latter with a medium dark spot basally; trochanters, proximal half of femora, and tibiae pale yellow; distal half of femora brown; tarsi yellow, tips brown. Metasoma dorsally brown; first tergite with a small yellowish depression at base; ventral and lateral sides of metasoma yellowish at base; ovipositor sheaths brown. The name is derived from the Latin words “ bis ” (twice) and “ cristatus ” (crested), and refers to the two distinct crests present on the head. Comments. Apsilocera bicristata belongs to a group of species having conspicuous crests on the vertex. It most closely resembles A. longicornis and A. obtusicristata . From both species it differs in having the last two claval segments pale yellow ( Fig. 2 ). In addition, from A. longicornis it differs mainly in having all F with only one row of sensilla ( Fig. 2 ), and from A. obtusicristata mainly in having the distal tooth of the mandible blunt ( Fig. 20 ).
