).
Description.
Holotype

Fig. 2
): head black, with slight olive green metallic reflections; eyes reddish, ocelli whitish; scape reddish-yellow in distal half, pale yellow proximally; pedicel reddish-yellow, dorsally darker; flagellum brown except last two claval segments pale yellow; mandible reddishyellow, teeth reddish-brown. Mesosoma as head; wings hyaline; tegula and venation brown; fore coxa mainly dark, mid and hind coxae pale yellow, the latter with a medium dark spot basally; trochanters, proximal half of femora, and tibiae pale yellow; distal half of femora brown; tarsi yellow, tips brown. Metasoma dorsally brown; first tergite with a small yellowish depression at base; ventral and lateral sides of metasoma yellowish at base; ovipositor sheaths brown.
Head slightly transverse in anterior view, with one discontinuous crest between anterior ocellus and posterior ones; clypeal margin rounded; gena moderately receding towards mouth, not hollowed at mouth corner (
Fig. 20
); temple absent; occiput slightly emarginate; each funicular segment with one row of dense sensilla (
Fig. 2
); mandible formula 4:4, mandible large, distal tooth blunt (
Fig. 20
). Fig. 2
); propodeum almost smooth, but with some longitudinal rugae; fore wing with basal cell bare, open below; basal vein with double row of hairs; ventral side of costal cell with one row of hairs, and a few additional hairs in distal part; speculum reaching proximal end of M; stigma elongated (
Fig. 2
). Relative measurements—length: 50; width: 40; height: 33; mesoscutum length: 19; scutellum length: 18; scutellum width: 20; propodeum length: 7; fore wing length: 113; fore wing width: 48; M: 27; S: 14; P: 28.

Etymology.
The name is derived from the Latin words “
bis
” (twice) and “
cristatus
” (crested), and refers to the two distinct crests present on the head.
Comments.
Apsilocera bicristata
belongs to a group of species having conspicuous crests on the vertex. It most closely resembles
A. longicornis
and
A. obtusicristata
. From both species it differs in having the last two claval segments pale yellow (
Fig. 2
). In addition, from
A. longicornis
it differs mainly in having all F with only one row of sensilla (
Fig. 2
), and from
A. obtusicristata
mainly in having the distal tooth of the mandible blunt (
Fig. 20
).
