( Fig. 19 ) Material examined. Holotype female, Kenya , Ruma National Park , Nyanza Province , altitude 1340 m , December 9, 2006 (El-Banhawy). Female: Dorsal shield slightly reticulated, 280 long, 170 wide (L/W ratio 1.6: 1), with eight pairs of pores. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 12, j3 16, j4 8, j5, j6 9, J2 12, J5 7, z2, z4 12, z5 8, Z1 10, Z4 22, Z5 68, s4 14 , S2 10 , S4, S5 8 , r3, R1 10, JV5 22. Setae Z 4 and Z5 prominent and serrated. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield smooth, distances between St I-ST III 46 , St II-St II 58 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 80 wide. Ventri-anal shield pentagonal, smooth, 100 long, 74 wide (L/W ratio 1.4: 1), with a pair of large elliptical pre-anal pores and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, a thin longitudinal sigillar sclerite and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with seven teeth, movable digit with three teeth. Spermatheca calyx tubular, 14 long, slightly flared posteriorly. Macrosetae , Sge I 28, Sge II 28 , Sge III 25 , Sge IV 35 , Sti IV 28 , St IV 46 . Chaetotaxy : genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1. Remarks. This species is similar to T . (= Amblyseius ) lugubris Chant & Baker in the shape of spermatheca. However, Z4, Z5 and the majority of dorsal setae in this species are shorter than in T . lugobris . The male is unknown.
