Bionomics:
Univoltine. Flight period: June. The species inhabits steppe-like habitats at medium altitude (
1050 – 2400 m
). The early stages have been described by Spuler (1908). The larvae feed on species of
Melissa
and
Scutellaria peregrina
.
Distribution
: Mediterranean-Asiatic. South Europe, Near East, Transcaucasia. – In
Iran
(Pl. 11, fig. 57) occurs in provinces West
Azerbaijan
and Kohkiluyeh va Boyer-Ahmad.
