Ixodes acuminatus Neumann, 1901 . A Palearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Rodentia : Cricetidae and Muridae , although they have also been found on other Mammalia (several orders). Adults and nymphs have been collected from Passeriformes : Turdidae , while adult ticks alone have been found on Galliformes : Phasianidae , and immature stages have been recovered from Accipitriformes : Accipitridae , and Passeriformes : Sylviidae and Troglodytidae . Ixodes acuminatus is a sporadic parasite of humans.
