A Neotropical species with a peculiar host profile because adult ticks have been found on Anura : Bufonidae, Crocodilia : Alligatoridae , Squamata : Boidae , Colubridae and Teiidae , Cingulata : Dasypodidae , and Carnivora : Canidae , while immature stages have been collected from Carnivora : Canidae , Rodentia : Cricetidae , Echimyidae and Sciuridae , and Didelphimorphia : Didelphidae ( Guglielmone & Robbins 2018 , Dantas-Torres et al . 2019a ).
