A Palearctic species whose females and nymphs have been found on Passeriformes : Prunellidae ; females alone have been collected from Passeriformes (several families), and Falconiformes : Falconidae . There are no records of Ixodes semenovi causing human parasitism. Kolonin (2009) states that males of Ixodes semenovi have been found off-host, but we have been unable to locate any description of this stage.
