A Nearctic species whose adults are usually found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae and Cervidae , and Perissodactyla : Equidae ; larvae and nymphs are commonly collected from Lagomorpha : Leporidae , and Rodentia (several families), but all parasitic stages have also been recovered from Mammalia (several orders).
