Remarks.
This species has the same white line bordering the suture as
Drymaeus (D.) rex
spec.nov.
, but is decidedly smaller. The very faint pinkish border lining the inside of the aperture behind the white lip clearly links both species. The thread-like fold of the columella mentioned by Haas is, however, much weaker than those in the aberrant specimens of
D. (D.) rex
mentioned below. It is, just as most specimens of
D. (D.) extraneus
Haas, 1955
, without distinct colour pattern and occurs on the same massif. However, it is smaller and more pointed, having straight sides and some incomplete, dark brown axial streaks on the pale ground colour.
