Discussion
From the detailed drawings of the male genitalia included in the original description (
Kozánek & Kwon 1991a
) and the study of the
holotype
, the taxon is transferred to the genus
Clistoabdominalis
(
Cli. subruralis
Kozánek & Kwon, 1991
)
comb. nov.
). Although lacking any ventral projection of syntergosternite 8, the species seems to be allied to the European members of the
electus
species group as outlined in
Kehlmaier (2005)
. The figures provided by
Kozánek & Kwon (1991a)
should allow an unambiguous identification of this taxon.
Cli. subruralis
has been recorded from
North Korea
and the Peoples
Republic of China
in the past.
