Lasioglossum ( Evylaeus ) nipponense : Ebmer 1995 : 534 , Figs 4–5 , 59–60 (♂); Ebmer 1996: 279; Murao & Tadauchi 2007 : 198 , 242 (in key), 244 (in key), Figs 21–23, 56F, 58F (♀♂). Evylaeus ( Evylaeus ) nipponensis : Pesenko 2007b : 83 (in key), 89 (in key), 103, Figs 21–22 ( ). Diagnosis. This species is similar to L. suisharyonense (Strand) from Taiwan . It is separated from L. suisharyonense by the female head longer than wide (length/width ratio 1.07–1.09, value cited from Murao & Tadauchi 2007 ), the male F2–F8 yellowish brown ventrally, and male mesoscutum reticulate-punctate nearly over entire surface. In contrast, L. suisharyonense has female head nearly as long as wide (length/width ratio 1.0–1.03, n = 3), male flagellum black ventrally, and PP on posterior area of male mesoscutum sparser than around area (IS = 4 d in maximum on posterior area).
