Oligosita similiana Hayat : Begum & Anis, 2013 : 45 , list. Begum & Anis, 2014: 9, checklist. Redescription. Female . Length, 0.36 mm . Body pale brown. Mandible with tip dark brown. Antenna with scape and pedicel yellow to whitish; clava pale brown. Fore wing hyaline, lightly infuscate under venation, with a brown spot appended to stigmal vein. Legs completely whitish. Gaster latero ventrally brownish yellow. Head. Mandible tridentate and a small truncation. Antenna with scape about 3.75× as long as broad; pedicel 2.4× as long as broad; funicle clearly longer than broad, about 2.8× as long as broad; clava about 4.6× as long as broad. Mesosoma. Pronotum long, consisting of a single plate, 0.5× length of mid lobe of mesoscutum or as long as scutellum. Fore wing 4.66× as long as broad, with posterior margin strongly truncate at apex of retinaculum; marginal fringe 2× as long as wing width; hind wing with apex rounded and disc with hardly any setae, 17.33× as long as broad; marginal fringe 6.7× as long as wing width. Metasoma. Ovipositor 3.3× as long as hind tibia, 33:10, originating from base of gaster and strongly exserted at apex, the exserted part 0.5× length of gaster. Male . Unknown. Distribution . INDIA : Odisha. Comments . This species is apparently similar to O. curvialata Lin (1994) , but differs in the absence of a second line of setae on the fore wing disc, fore wing about 4.66× as long as broad with marginal fringe nearly 2× as long as wing width, apex of hind wing not pointed, and ovipositor more than 3× as long as hind tibia. In O . curvialata the fore wing disc has two lines of discal setae, fore wing 4.2× as long as broad with marginal fringe 1.5× as long as wing width, apex of hind wing normal, pointed, and ovipositor shorter, 2.67× length of hind tibia. However, the pronotum in O. curvialata can be membranous in the middle, and thus may actually belong to the subgenus Oligosita .
