–14 (Male and pupa).
This species was described from a male reared from a pupa (
Takaoka, 2008a
). Its female and larva remain unknown. It is characterized in the male by abdominal segments 2–8 each with a pair of shiny dorsolateral or lateral patches, and in the pupa by the gill with six filaments.
This is a rare species being found once only from the
type
stream (at an elevation of
1,570 m
) in Cameron Highlands. No additional specimens are available from the
type
locality or nearby streams.
