Remarks
. Prior to
Ponomarenko and Beljaev (2023)
, this species was reported as
Xyrosaris
sp. 2
by
Oku (2003)
from
Japan
. Subsequently some Japanese authors referred to it. In the present paper, this species is reported from
Korea
for the first time. However, the mtCOI information was already uploaded at the GenBank (KF523851.1) as
X. lichneuta
Meyrick.
Ponomarenko and Beljaev (2023)
predicted distribution in
Korea
by comparing their own mtCOI data with Genbank and BOLD. Therefore, this species is validated in the Korean fauna.
