Hackman). Germany 231Ƥ Sülldorf [Sachsen-Anhalt] 4.6.[19]11; 2Ƥ Sülldorf 5.6.[19]11. Diagnosis. Rostrum very short, tip triangular, not downturned. Postpronotum yellow. Subnotopleural stripe considerably widened towards wing base. Fore and mid tibiae pale. Wing vein R4+5 forked. 3: Eyes separated by more than the width of the anterior ocellus. Eyes with upper and lower facets of equal size. Lower frons with two small spots. T2–T3 white (T2 with a basal black spot adjoining the mostly black T1, T3 occasionally with black posterolateral corners and a dark central spot). T4 variable, from white with black posterolateral corners to black with central white spot. T5 predominantly black, lateral margins and centre variably white. Genitalia: Rozkošný (1983) . Ƥ: Frons with a pair of large triangular spots. Tergites black, only lateral margins and posteromedial triangles of T2–T5 pale. The male is unique among the N. European species in having a broad frontal vitta and eyes with facets of uniform size. Distribution . Palearctic, from central Europe to East Siberia. Not in Finland or other north European countries.
