Length 1.88–2.79 (2.36) mm, width 1.53–2.20 (1.91) mm, depth 0.85–1.30 (1.09) mm ( n = 17). Differs from other Cyclocaccus species groups by the following combination of characters: body oval; apical margin of abdominal tergite VII usually truncate (widely rounded in C. intermediatus ); prosternum strongly convex along midline, with tuft of setae at middle in males; metanepisternum usually not punctate (densely punctate in C. intermediatus ); inter-mesocoxal distance (n = 4) separated by 1.69– 2.26 times width of inter-procoxal distance; intermetacoxal distance (n = 4) separated by 1.59–1.89 times width of inter-procoxal distance; abdominal sternite III usually with subcoxal lines (absent in C. intermediatus ); lateral margins of abdominal sternite VII strongly serrate; male pro- and mesotarsal segments I to III moderately to strongly dilated; tegmen and median lobe long and slender, usually subparallel-sided (tegmen convergent apically in C. intermediatus ) in ventral view; apices of gonocoxites square. Fig. 15. Dorsal habitus of Cyclocaccus species in the C. morulus species-group. Scale bars = 1 mm. Distribution. Neotropical Region (one in Central to South America and four in South America). Comments. Among the congeners, C. intermediatus shows somewhat intermediate characters between C. laeticulus species group and C. morulus species group (see also ‘Note’ of C. intermediatus and ‘Discussion’).
