Male ( Figs 83–89 ) Diagnosis. Belonging in species group “1”, subgroup 2 in the classification of Eertmoed (1986). The wings, phallosome, epiproct and paraprocts relate it to C. amacayacuensis González et al . , but differs from it in having the paraproctal prong well developed and tapered distally ( Fig. 89 ). Epiproct posteriorly emarginated, postero-lateral corners widely rounded ( Fig. 88 ). Color . Head ( Fig. 85 ) brown, vertex, labrum and mandibles brown, maxillae pale brown, labium cream. Compound eyes dark brown, ocelli hyaline in a dark brown area. Antennae and maxillary palps pale brown, flagellomeres cream apically. Pro-, meso- and metanotum pale brown, meso and metascutellum dark brown, thoracic pleurae and legs pale brown, tibiae and tarsi darker. Forewing membrane hyaline, with small, slightly smoked areas ( Fig. 83 ); veins brown, with pale brown spots along the veins; wing margin with brown spots, two on areola postica. Hindwings hyaline ( Fig. 84 ). Abdomen pale brown to cream, incomplete abdominal segmental rings pale brown, clunium and hypandrium brown, clunium with narrow anterior edge dark brown; phallosome and epiproct pale brown; paraprocts brown, paraproctal prong darker distally; laminar projection between the prong and tubercle dark brown. Morphology. As in diagnosis plus the following: head vertex slightly emarginate, almost at the same level of the upper margin of the compound eyes ( Fig. 85 ); these large, with interommatidial setae. D is 0.55 the length of the head in front view. Forewings ( Fig. 83 ); membrane pterostigma with setae, without spur veins. Hypandrium triangular, broad, anteriorly concave, with medium sized setae and macrosetae ( Fig. 86 ). Phallosome short, piriform ( Fig. 87 ); endophallic lobes broad, rounded apically, separate from each other along the midline; external parameres rounded, membranous, bearing sensorial cones; internal parameres broad, curved, fused in the middle, with blunt apices directed posteriorly. Epiproct semioval, wider than long, emarginate posteriorly ( Fig. 88 ), with three macrosetae mesally and two near each postero-lateral corner, posterior setal field as illustrated. Paraprocts ( Fig. 89 ) with medium sized setae and macrosetae on long, stout mesal process as illustrated; a large, sclerotized, rounded protuberance between the mesal process and the prong, this wide proximally, short, acuminate; sensory fields with 19 trichobothria on basal rosettes ( Fig. 89 ).
