Perennial plant with non flowering shoots creeping and rooting, densely leafy for lanceolated and glaucous leaves. Flowering stem erect, 20–45 cm , inflorescence erect before the anthesis, somewhat scorpioid, glabrous or glandular, bracteate; flowers (5) 6 (7) merous, obdiplostemonous, with triangular-lanceolated sepals ( 3–4 mm ) and petals spreading or semi-erect, yellow lemon; filaments yellow, papillose at their bases, styles slightly outwards at the anthesis.
