Remarks
Paracaprella guerragarciai
can be easily distinguished from all species in the genus
Paracaprella
by the setose dorsal body.
This species is the second caprellid species discovered and described originally from the
Gulf
of
Mexico
, since
Mayer (1903)
discovered
D. incerta
(described as
L. incerta
) in the
Mississippi
–
Alabama
continental shelf a century ago.
