At present, P. delphiaria has two subspecies, P. delphiaria delphiaria ( Guenée, 1858 ) is distributed in India , Myanmar , Vietnam , Thailand , Malay Peninsula, Indonesia ( Sumatra ), and could be distinguished from P. delphiaria auriculifera Warren, 1897 by the larger size ( Prout 1920 –1941; Holloway 1997 ).
