Remarks.
This species was redescribed based on misidentified specimens of
Ps. crenulicauda
by
Sawada (1977)
and transferred to the genus
Phymatura
. However, as
Pace (1984)
stated that this species belongs to the genus
Platyola
of the tribe
Athetini
, not
Homalotini
. Later,
Pace (1992)
probably forgot this arrangement (
Pace, 1984
) and moved this species from the genus
Phymatura
to the genus
Pseudatheta
, and this treatment was followed in the later catalogs (e.g.,
Schülke & Smetana 2015
;
Newton 2022
). We here place this species again in the genus
Platyola
.
