Lectotype female (PJ 1705) with label: Voy. Carl et Escher, Inde méridionale, MariyanShola, 11.–17.IV. , syntype ( MHNG , examined). 1 female paralectotype (PJ 1706) with label: Voy. Carl et Escher, Inde méridionale, Kukkalshola, 1.IV. , syntype . ( MHNG , examined). [GPS for Kukkal: 10° 18' 0 N, 77° 19' 60 E] Further material examined. 1 female (PJ 462) with label: South India : Palni Hills, J. Carl, K. Escher leg. 1926/27, E. Reimoser det.: 1 female ("Cotype"), ( Syntypus ) ex Coll. Reimoser ( NHMW ). 3 females (PJ 1776–1778 ) with label: 22. India : Madras: Palni Hills, Kodaikanal, 2100 m ; tamisages dans la forêt audessus de la ville; 11.XI.1972 ; leg. C. Besuchet et I. Löbl ( MHNG ). [GPS for Kodaikanal: 10° 13' 60 N, 77° 28' 60 E] Diagnosis. Females with median septum narrower than in M. transversa sp. nov. , having only a small or no pit at the anterior end of median septum, rims around copulatory openings forming a larger circle ( Figs 13, 17–18, 20 ), lateral loops of internal duct system extending posteriorly to receptacula ( Figs 14–16 ). From the present material the colour pattern of M. minuscula comb. nov. seems to be more distinct than in M. transversa sp. nov. ( Figs 29–30 ). FIGURES 13–21. Martensopoda minuscula (Reimoser 1934) comb. nov. , ΨΨ from Palni Hills, Tamil Nadu, India (13–16 PJ 1776, 17 PJ 1777, 18–19 lectotype PJ 1705, 21–21 paralectotype PJ 1706). 13, 17–18, 20 Epigyne, ventral; 14–15 Internal duct system, dorsal (15 right half partly broken and shifted); 16 Schematic course of internal duct system, dorsal; 19, 21 Left chelicera, showing dentition, ventral.
