The types of this species and specimens from India were examined by Dash & Viraktamath (1998: 36). Maiestas pruthii (Metcalf) (Plate 2, a; Fig. 13 ). Material examined . Pakistan : several specimens (3, Ƥ), Tando Jam, 27.iv.07 . Remarks . Described from the holotype and allotype from: Pakistan , Punjab, Lyallpur [=Faisalabad], at light, 10.x.29 , K.A.S. Rahman (ZSI). The above material is identified as pruthii from the original figures and those of Dash & Viraktamath (2001) . However, although all have the characteristic reticulate forewing venation, the Pakistan material has a slightly more strongly curved aedeagus and shorter apical process compared to Indian material (compare Fig. 13 l with Dash & Virtaktamath, 1998, fig. 154). Maiestas subviridis (Metcalf) (Plate 2, b–c; Fig. 12 ). Material examined . Pakistan : several specimens (3, Ƥ), Sindh Prov., Tando Jam, 28.viii.07 , paddy (typical), Guddu Barrage, vii.07 (atypical). Remarks . A sub-brachypterous form occurs in the female of this species in Pakistan (Plate 2c). In addition, a form with a slightly more elongate aedeagus with a slight lateral flange is present (compare Figs 12 a-d). The type of this species and various other specimens from throughout its range were examined by Webb & Viraktamath (2009) .
