Ecology: —Rare, known in Bolivia from two collections; terrestrial or rarely on rocks on nutrient-poor, sandy soils, often in wet ravines and along stream banks, in humid forests; 850–1200 m . Notes: —Differs from Trichomanes diversifrons by 2–3 veins running from the midrib into each segment on the sterile leaves, narrower (to 4.5 vs . to 8 cm wide) sterile leaves, 1–2 mm wide wings between the sinuses and the midribs, lack of indentions between the veins on the fertile leaves, and slightly flaring and recurved involucral mouths.
