Chernomorsky zapovednik [national park] Potievka S. Blinstein 3.X.1970 [handwritten, in Russian] / solonchak, sredi [saline fields, amongst] Obione [handwritten, in Russian] / Holotypus Euphanias pusanovi Blinstein [red, semihandwritten]” (? holotype , 1 male , ZIN ) . Note. Euphanias pusanovi was described by Blinstein (1976) based on four specimens of both sexes from the Chernomorsky national park and the environs of Sivash lake in Kherson Province . According to the original description, the holotype is a female from the first locality, collected on “ 8.XI.1970 ” and deposited at ZIN , while the paratypes remain in his personal collection. The ZIN specimen of E. pusanovi we were able to find bears the red semi-handwritten label “ Holotypus Euphanias pusanovi Blinstein ”. The label data on this specimen match those of the original description except for the collection date “ 3.X.1970 ” and sex. Our examination of this specimen confirms that the morphology of this specimen matches the original description. However, due to the inconsistency of the label and sex data, the type status of this specimen is questionable and can only be stated after the examination of the remaining type material .
