Type species : Prabhasa costalis Moore, 1878 . Eilema : Strand 1916 : 114 . Prabhasa : Daniel 1954: 126 ; Fang 2000 : 244 ; Dubatolov & Zolotuhin 2011 : 370 . Description . Forewings with light costal margin and diffuse apical streak, and a dark brown postmedian costal spot. Costal Vein coVered with androconial scales in basal third. Male genitalia . Uncus broader than in treated genera aboVe, bent at base, with terminal denticle. ValVes broadly fused along basal margins; cucullus broad; aedeagus long, S-shaped, Vesica membranous, with elongate diVerticulum haVing a small finger-like subbasal subdiVerticulum. Female genitalia . Ductus bursae slightly sclerotized, dorso-Ventrally flattened, narrowed posteriorly; corpus bursae pear-like, membranous, without signa. Remarks . The new genus has a significant autapomorphic character: Ventral margins of ValVes are broadly fused ( Figs. 32–35 ), for which reason during dissection it is impossible to place a male genital capsule on a slide in dorso-Ventral projection; this feature is Very rare in whole Lithosiina . HoweVer, the cucullus shape is similar to Macohasa , but Vesica shape is Very different in these genera. The shape of ValVe of Chinasa is also similar to that of “ Zadadra cucullata , but the latter has the not fused Ventral margins of ValVes and the heaVily sclerotized cucullus, and clearly is not congeneric to Chinasa species. We include in the new genus Chinasa two species , Chinese Chinasa costalis ( Moore, 1878 ) , comb. nov. with a distinct subspecies Chinasa costalis bicoloriceps ( Strand, 1916 ) , stat. et comb. nov. from Taiwan , and the new species Chinasa sapa DubatoloV, Volynkin & Kishida , sp. nov. from North Vietnam . Etymology. The genus name is a combination of the words 'China' and 'Prabhasa' . Gender is feminine.
